100 Word Stories - Blow Pops and Water

Here is my 100 Word story for prompt #137 at 100 Word Stories, go take a look at the other interpretations of the prompt...Blow Pops and Water. You can even vote for your favorite one.

Ten years old and full of mischief, Lara, wandered along the sidewalk with her lollipop jammed into her mouth. A Blow Pop to be exact. Temptation had greedily lured her into stealing money for the favored sweet. Her conscience pricking her just enough to take the edge of her blissful state.

Rounding the corner, her young body ran smack into a huge man. Looking up she saw a policeman. Her mouth opening on a shriek saw the coveted Blow Pop fall into a puddle of muddy looking water.

Instantly her mom's words, "crime doesn't pay", ran guiltily through her mind.

  2. This is great. I love the concept of very short stories, micro stories if you will.
