Just some thoughts...

Today...the first day of my second year of blogging! Its been the hottest recorded day in Victoria ever - 47C (117F) upstate and 46.+ (114F) in Melbourne. There are over 40 bush fires in this state alone, some under control; others not. In the last half hour there has been a break in the weather and a few rain drops. I sincerely hope we get some rain to help our firefighters out. The conditions out there are very dangerous. We have had extreme hot North winds as well as soaring temperatures. While Queensland is having more rain than they can handle with extensive flooding. Same country you ask? Sure is, just really big!

Hope you enjoy my mood lightener, people keep sending me funny stuff in emails, I save it and file it away for rainy days, when some tension relief is needed. Today seems like a good day for relieving some tension, least ways here in Australia. Enjoy! :)

1. Go to a second-hand store and buy a pair of men's used size 14-16
work boots.

2. Place them on your front porch, along with several empty beer cans, a copy of Guns & Ammo magazine and several NRA magazines.

3. Put a few giant dog dishes next to the boots and magazines.

4. Leave a note on your door that reads: Hey Bubba, Big Jim, Duke, and Slim, I went to the gun shop for more ammunition. Back in an hour. Don't mess with the pit bulls - they attacked the mailman this morning and messed him up real bad. I don't think Killer took part in it, but it was hard to tell from all the blood.

PS - I locked all four of 'em in the house. Better wait outside.

  1. :) Good one! I think I´ll lock my house, just in case...
We are having the same heat spell. It´s actually too hot to rain. Luckily the bush fires are not as many here.
    Have a good weekend!

  2. our warm spell is finally over :( I was hoping it would hold out for one more day because we have to deliver Girl Scout cookies now...I think the cold is on purpose just for the cookies!

Love that security system! Now you just gotta hope your crooks can read. ;)

  3. Hi Eaton..thanks for the encoragement and your thoughts on my blog! When I was strange.. I was a bit confused and joined this other writers team- no one really responded except the lady who started it. There was just barely an exchange? I had to figure everything out as far as the set up and blogging thing? For as many people that had blogs/team members- you would of thought they'd take the time to say something..anything? Nope!I think it stinks. So, I closed the windows. I came back almost a year later and started all over with my own-much better this time around!

  4. Heh... it might work. Just might work. But you'd have to move the stuff around a little every day or so, so if anybody was casing the place they wouldn't get suspicious.

Hope you're out of the path of all those fires. The news is even reaching us up here in the cold half of the world!

  5. I hope all are well! I just was reading about the fires....You are in my thoughts...xoxoxoxo
