Rain...lots and lots of rain.

Friday and Saturday we had rain in Melbourne. Lots of rain,
tropical rain, thunder and lightning. In the last three months
we have had virtually no rain. A couple of tiny showers only,
but this was a Tropical down pour. I estimate it took the front
to move in and drop those huge, big fat rain drops about 20
minutes.

I took the first three photos of the sky as the storm was brewing
and the last photo is of those big fat raindrops falling on a glass
top table in the back garden. Unless you click on the photo you
won't see just how beautiful the rain bouncing off the glass is.
It looks like tiny glass crowns or coronets scattered across the
glass.

Click on the pic to enlarge...the raindrops are gorgeous!

Melbourne used to be a very wet city, I remember it
always drizzling with rain once winter got started. But it
has been a very long time since we had winters like that.
I wonder if this winter will be very wet. I can only hope. :)

Love,

  1. Your pictures are wonderful!

It is so hard for me to get it in my mind that your Fall is approaching while my Spring is almost here. I hope you do get all the wet you need...we're worried here about our summer being way too dry.

  2. I have to agree with Renee, it is hard to imagine that it is almost fall there. Heck I have a hard enough time trying to figure out what time of day it is there...;)
