55 Flash Fiction Friday...

on friday, compose a short story of 55 words - no more,
no less. if you want to join in the fun and give it a
try...post your story and report it to G-man

On the weekend I spent an hour or so in the art Gallery and studio of Australian artist Brian Nunnan, who lives in Castlemaine, Victoria. I've included three of his paintings and my 55 is about his studio. His art is unusual in that he uses soft colors to depict the Australian landscape. I expect anyone painting the Outback to be using only vivid colors, not a profusion of pastels.

Wandering through the artist's studio
my eyes perceive colors of every hue
the richness of his canvasses a surprise

Inspiration pulses in a sketch book
passionately chronicled throughout
many talented years

Letters boldly executed on the lid of his
paint box remind him--'Do not be afraid'
he obviously paid attention
success signs every painting

Have simply the best Friday everyone!

Love,

  4. Fearless strokes are different strokes ... it is what seperates a great artist from an amateure.
