Catching fog...

I've been practicing taking photos from a moving car, again. This time I found some early morning fog about an hour and a half north west of Melbourne.

It's not so easy getting a photo from a moving vehicle. But I get kinda determined to do something and that's it. I am always deleting photos that are purely practice shots, otherwise my computer would be overflowing with snaps...certainly not all good ones, let me tell ya!

These photos are just practice shots too, but ones I liked enough to keep and show.

No, I don't have any poetry ready today, well not yet anyway, maybe later on in the day. The reason? I've been reading Stephen Crane's works, and got so caught up in his poems that I forgot I was writing one of my own.

Here's a sample of his work.

There was crimson clash of war.
Lands turned black and bare;
Women wept;
Babes ran, wondering.
There came one who understood not these things.
He said, "Why is this?"
Whereupon a million strove to answer him.
There was such intricate clamour of tongues,
That still the reason was not.

I'm guessing he is no stranger to you guys, as he is an American poet. But he is a revelation to me, thanks to Walking Man pointing me in his direction.

Have a great Monday! Yeah I know no one ever thinks of Monday's as great, but they could be; they're full of all sorts of possibilities. :)

Love,

  1. I haven't read any of Crane's poetry before. He reads well. I'll have to give him a try.

  2. I always take pic´s during driving too. It´s too bad they almost never show how it really is. I guess I´ll have to practice more too!
