Fallen starlet...

Here's hoping y'all have a fun Friday everyone, go have yourselves a wild time. :)

Faded beauty splintered, exposed, in the silver
slivered glass fallen dirty to the floor. Pearls of
broken promise run in concentric circles ever

around a love begged Utopia, never found.

The past mistaken for the present
a parade of faces, places and memories
masked by doubt; grasp a half mast future
at the last gasp.

  1. Sad state of affairs this. Put all of her effort into The Look, and now that it's gone she's got nothing left. Can't hold on, can't let go. What a shame.

  2. Sadly, the modern world has become infatuated by looks.
    There's deep thought in this.

  6. What a beautiful piece to read aloud--there's real music in it, as well as much to linger over. A marvelous 55!

  10. Beauty only fades when love begs for Utopian realizations. Understanding that the Utopia is here and now carries the beauty ever forward and upward.
