55 Flash Fiction Friday ~ only God knows...

.

I’m afraid the stars are going to
lose their brilliance leave my night sky,
fade to nothing

fear of the loss incapacitates me
my thoughts frenzy - how can this be
do my bright beauties practice duplicity,
pretend cosmic immortality whilst
hiding their impermanence

were they not set since before the
beginning of time?

.

I had a photo picked to go with this poem, unfortunately Blogger has blocked me from uploading any images at all. The notification it's giving me is that I am restricted from uploading any images until I can give verification that I have rights to the images...soooo what am I supposed to do about that? If anybody has any ideas I would be very grateful. And I'm very tempted to go elsewhere to blog.  :))

G-daddy hosts Flash Fiction 55 on Mr. Knowitall, pay him a visit for the best 55's on the net. Have a great weekend everyone.

Lots of love,
Eaton

  1. Those stars have seen alot that's for sure.

    Love the 55

you may have inadvertently downloaded a pic and not attributed it correctly or at all. Alot of bloggers don't realize they need to attribute any and all work. Go to Creative Commons - Flikr (I think you need to join) pull off the URL of the work you are using it and slap it at the bottom of anything you are posting.

Professionals and amateurs appreciate the credit for their work.

  5. Even the stars change - are born and die. I really liked the melancholy tone.

I've had lots of issues with blogger, but that's a new one to me. Sorry I can't help you. Sometimes just trying again (after signing in/out) corrects the various issues I've had. My blog photos are hosted at picassa and I haven't had any issues with uploading them.

  9. Gosh, I could have sworn I commented on this. Senior brain!!!??? :-) I think I said that I like WordPress better and you might like to check it out and feel free to email me if you want to discuss.

Meanwhile, this is a fine 55 and just fine period. Asks the big question.

    Poem on, Eaton.

  10. Nice work Eaton and I wanted to say your header is absolutly stunning!
Well, I just deleted two photos (one remains) that I picked up along the way (after reading what you said)- only they'd been buried away for so long and I couldn't remember where they came from?(no links). I have to purchase a new camera (mine's a gonner) but I'd noticed what you said on someone elses blog..I just paid for storage too and am having difficulty getting rid (overcoming the hassel more like) of picasa which stores photos I've deleted.
