Flights of fancy...

The edge of Israel and the Mediterranean Sea 1998

I dream of far off
distant places,
faces formed in a
cloudless eye

If I could,
I would,
jump a plane
forgo all plans of fame,
leave no forwarding
address; respectfully
dump my mobile phone

it's the face of free
grace I crave,
tied to no one place.

I thirst to fly far and away

~~

This week has been another crazy one, time has not been on my side at all. Some family members have been sick with a flu virus (nope, not piggy flu), one son-in-law has had chronic bacterial Pneumonia. I guess just the general pattern of life has been busier than usual. Perhaps that has prompted my day dreaming about travel. Hmmm, not maybe; definitely!

If you have a spare minute or two, scroll down a tiny way, to my last post. It's a poem I think you might enjoy. It's different, something a little...cheeky! There are photos with it, I took them.

Have a wonderful Friday and enjoy Spring, it's cooling down rapidly here. But doubtful it will get as cold as y'all experience in your winter.

If you've written 55 words, no more no less, drop
in on G-Man, leave a comment and he will pay you a visit.

Love,

May you fly into that state of mine each minute the cell phone is not ringing with responsibility calling.

We dragons can do that ( fly anywhere) and it ain't that great. The grass is always greener, the cows are always plumper, on the other side of the world. Plus your stupid problems fly with you.
But dream on.

Great poem and 55

Ours is posted.

I could do with a bit of that myself. To fly free - lovely.

I always start to feel this way when my kids get obnoxious and demanding. I'd love to see them fend for themselves.
