Thank You!

By some strange turn of fate Jingle found me. Jingle gives out awards for Short Stories, Humor, Art and Poetry in blogger-ville. I am the fortunate recipient of three, uh huh...three awards. Took me by delighted surprise. Thank you Jingle and to Kumiko Mae who brought about this strange turn of fate by nominating my blog.

Butterfly Award...

Back in October, 2008, I received a blog award
from Lola and AppleJack. I didn't pick it up
straight away, in truth I almost forgot about it.

I remembered it through seeing the same
award on another blog and realized I had one
of those waiting for me at the Bunny Lounge. So,
I hopped on over and collected it. Thanks Lola and
AppleJack, big hugs to my favorite on-line bunnies.

These are the rules:

~Put the logo on your blog;
~Add a link to the person who awarded you.
~Nominate 10 other blogs
~Add links to those blogs on yours.
~Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs

I'm going to break the rules some. Because I have
taken so long to pick up the award I figure I can
be cheeky enough to break them.

I'm going to take my time to give out the award.
I've got blogs in mind, but I need time to ferret
out who might have this particular award
already and who hasn't got it.

Love,

Award

I am amazed, two Awards in one week. Thank you Betty, I am excited that you thought of me and to receive the award. More importantly I like what the award represents...being close to friends, even though incredibly large distances divide us. My home base for writing, Writer's Retreat Forum, is just that, home and my very first writer friends on the Internet hang out there. When I started blogging I honestly never expected to connect with people. I thought I was just opening an avenue to share what I write, hoping like crazy that someone, anyone would read my stuff. All my new friendships are an unexpected, awesome bonus that I happily embrace. :)

This reward is in Portuguese so the translation is below.

"This blog invests and believes, in proximity"[meaning, that blogging makes us 'close' -being close through proxy] How awesome is that??

"They are all charming blogs, and the majority of them aim to show the marvels of friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize, and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut, or that they propagate?

Then let's try to give more attention to them! So with this prize we must deliver it to 8 bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this text.

So here are my 8, Old friends and New:

1...Noony

2...Alice

3...Dawn

4...Danica

5...Andi

6...Grace

7...Val

8...JM

Excellent Blog Award.

A.Catherine Noon recommended my blog for an Excellent Blog Award. How exciting, seeing as I am so new to this world of blogging. Noony has an excellent blog herself and some wonderful reading. In fact a vast range of reading and information for all tastes. Thanks Noony. Now I have to pass this award on to 10 or more excellent blogs. That may take a while, but I am working on it.

My Expressions Live!

For being interesting, challenging and full of spirit and a glimpse into the life of a man who puts his life on the line for his community.

Gwen Mitchell Fiction.

This award is for her dedication to her dream, to write and be published. Her generosity with her time and her caring above and beyond the call of duty. Then there is her writing, creative, imaginative and passionate. Her blog is a delight to visit.

Eden's Eternal.

To this blog for the inspirational writing and the special feel I get when I go visiting. The colours Eden has chosen and the picture on her blog header remind me of wood sprite's and nymph's and secrets told in whispers by fairies.
