Oh Baby, where art thou?

Well, I have been away from home now since Thursday 21st August! Waiting with my daughter and son-in-law for the birth of their first child. Labor started, stopped, started, stopped. You get my drift here, something happening, but not the final result as yet - the BABY!

My husband is being an absolute darling and not complaining about my absence. He has been looking after our two teenage daughters and our seven year old daughter. No small feat that. My pregnant daughter is wondering if she is really having a baby at all and if she is, what is all the stop start stuff?

I am hoping like crazy that something BIG is going to happen during the night; just like I hoped last night and the night before. Only goes to show that babies truly do have their own agenda on when they will be born. No amount of sweet talk and wooing can bring them out into the open until they are good and ready.

So what will tomorrow bring...a baby? I certainly hope so. :)

In hope and love,

Eaton.

  1. Your blog reminded me of a quote that I read yesterday. “May the love hidden deep inside your heart find the love waiting in your dreams. May the laughter that you find in your tomorrow wipe away the pain you find in your yesterdays.” I hope that your patience is soon rewarded, and that we all hear the happy news of your newest grandchild soon.

  2. Or you can end up like me. Two weeks overdue, no sign of labor at all, and no amniotic fluid left. C-section.

  3. Wow, I just read this today, because of my lousy internet. How is your daughter doing? Is there a baby yet??? It must be so frustrating, waiting and hoping...
    You´ll be in my mind!
