This little guy got caught out in the heat wave
we experienced last week. He wandered into
someones back porch and they gave him a tub
of water to cool himself off. Looks like he had
a drink as well. Unusual they normally don't
drink water. Eucalyptus oil, from the leaves
of Gum trees are their preferred juice.

ReplyDeleteI can't imagine what it would be like to live with those critters running around. Here we have to hope that the zoo had one or two. sigh!
He almost looks like a toy! They're cute to be certain, but if I heard correctly, they're not a creature you want to mess with!

He is sweet and because he's a baby Koala is probably very friendly and maybe the family got to cuddle him -

They are not the friendliest, and have long claws that can do some real damage to an unsuspecting admirer. They don't smell so good, they grunt and growl too! :)

ReplyDeleteMy cousin and his wife moved over there from Pennsylvania back in the mid 70's when there was an incentive to bring in teachers. They've been there ever since and I've been wondering how they're doing with the fires, heat and floods!
