Indian summer... Monday Potluck at Jingle Poetry

this morning around 2.00am
not long after you left -
I walked to that place in the garden
where the stars hang curiously low
kissing the blossoms that
brushed the top of my head

I stood in the grass
my feet bare
ankles damp with dew
thoughts wandering to and
fro across my memories -
for how long, I can't be sure

the breeze picked-up
brought me gently back
that’s when I saw our shadows
dancing in the moonlight
translucent
transformed

beset by unnamed emotions,
i wept

~~

For love and the wonder of writing. Happy Potluck everyone! Have a week of peace and joy, oh and...
Happy Thanksgiving for the 25th.  :))

lots of love,

Eaton

  7. Tears can also be joyful, so to me this sounds like a moon-lit walk in the garden of dreams. Nice one, Eaton.

  20. Eaton Dear,

This is how I look at it.. You think of the past time and cried..
A fine piece of poetry with all the ingredients of fantasy and then reality checking in, letting you release your captivated thoughts..

    I know the feeling.. :)
    Love xxx
